Focus

The focus of our “ONE CUIP” is to address NASA needs in the
Six Virtual Institutes (VI) for applied research and management. These Virtual Institutes (with NASA Lead in parentheses) include:

  1. Thrust Chamber Assembly Virtual Institute (Kevin Tucker)
  2. Propellant Storage and Delivery Virtual Institute (Dan Dorney)
  3. Reentry Aerothermodynamics Virtual Institute (Mike Wright)
  4. Structures and Materials for Extreme Environments Virtual Institute (Kevin Rivers)
  5. Solids Virtual Institute (Robert Garcia)
  6. Systems Engineering and Integration Virtual Institute (Claudia Meyer).

Our Goals

  • Address technical challenges of space access and exploration
  • Build up capabilities and transition knowledge in key focused areas
  • Educate future scientists and engineers for NASA & DOD missions
